Broke the inlet with a party of two at around 7am and headed NE looking for marks. Found working birds just S of bathing beach and managed to put three bass in the box (along with landing 15-18 blues and one short bass) on jigs before the rapidly growing fleet put an end to the action. When we couldn't find any other jig happy fish to the north, we headed back to the inlet and landed fourteen more bass to 21 pounds drifting spot before heading in and leaving the fish biting. Of the eighteen bass landed, only four were short and most were real quality fish. Final tally was six in the box, six sore arms, and three smiling faces.
