Description
Decided to do a crew trip and look for bass today. First hook up turned out to be a 70 pound thresher caught in the tail. It almost spooled us on the initial run, but we landed and released it after a 20 minute fight.

Dropped lines back in around the bunker schools in 55 feet of water off the coast guard station, and hooked up right away. This time it had stripes and was a 48 inch skinny 35 pounder.

No other hits after that.

Good Job. That is a long lean one. I had a spring 44" that weighed 34lbs. You would think they would be fattened up after wintering up north. Nice fish though. What time did you get him? I had lots of marks in 30-35' of water off CGS but not a knockdown.

Got him around 11am. On a bright sunny day, we rarely fish in less than 50 feet of water. Loads of bunker schools in those depths yesterday.
