The Spiny Box Puffer is also known as the Striped Burrfish. It has a tan to yellow body with dark striping, and short, fixed spines which help protect it from larger, more aggressive fish. Its teeth are actually a fused beak-like structure

I have seen 3 of them over the years, all caught by my buddy Matt. 4 years ago weakfishing on a peice of shedder crab, last day of fluke season last year in the Inlet, and Sunday while blowfishing. Def a really cool fish and most people have no idea what they even are or look like.

They are a very cool fish. If you want an appreciation for variety of species out there, get out there this time of year. Lots of cool stuff swimming around out there right now.
Brian, does that fall into the eatable garbage fish range Bet that's a mother to clean if it is ! You think Blow Fish Are tuff ? These are needing armour !
