Had the Fischer party out from Germany in the morning. The oldest son watches river monsters religiously and wanted to catch a shark we tried to see if we could find a brownie or thresher inshore. Unfortunately we could not find a shark (I am sure I will catch 5 by accident this weekend) but with spirits low we hit a nearby wreck and caught about 50 seabass with some keepers mixed in. Then plugged a few bluefish in the inlet.

In the evening I had a friend who was on my only striped bass charter skunk of the spring (we lost 2) and I wanted to do some scouting in the bay so I asked him to ride along. He caught Bluefish, an 18 inch weakie,an 18 inch flounder and a mess of shorts. We tried to find a bass on some inshore haunts with poppers and plugs but no action there.
