Nice looking boat. Are they straight IBs, or IOs?

SA-WEET RIDE! Love Scouts. Best of luck with her. Where do you keep her? Name is awesome too. As long as she doesn't "sleep with the fishes" like Luca!

FM, her optimal cruise speed is 28-30mph @ 3200 rpm.. We'll be burning about 9-10GPH at that speed with my normal load.

Paijo, thanks! I keep it on the Raritan bay in Keansburg. I did think about the "sleeps with the Fishes" thing after we named it.. as Luca would say.. "Goffa bid!" I like to think of it more as meaning hot action on overnighters smile

10GPH at 3200 RPM? OUCH !! Really nice looking boat though. If gas money was not an issue for me, I would seriously consider it.

Eric, you do realize that most owners of 28' foot boats would love to get 3.0 mpg at a 30mph cruise, correct? I think the average 28' boat that cruises at 30mph consumes about 15 to 20 gph netting around 1.5 to 2.0 mpg.

I have a 34 footer with outboards and I'm happy with 1.2-1.3 miles per gallon.

Nice boat....

That's a pretty good set of numbers. I've got a 26' CC with twin 150s. Cruising at 3200 I'm at about 10 gal/hr., but the speed is somewhere around 25-26 MPH. So for a boat that big to get higher speed and better gas mileage is pretty amazing.
