Description

After a tough day chasing bunker up to Bay Head with no success, always good to know there's other "friends" on the water.

Appreciate the call to the scene in less than 10 minutes.....OOG ! (out of gas).

Yes I did.

Said the same thing to the Captain on Sea Tow when he was on the scene.

After no bass and just drifting in the DC channel, was lured to the tires by the reports of Sea-Bass.

Good lesson and thankful not while plowing through Barnegat inlet in the rushing outgoing tide.....could have been worse.

Nada....sunrise for bass was a bust.

A few small sea-bass (no keepers)and skates on the tires.

Did end the day on a high note at Captain's Inn :-)

On Sunday 5/31 i arrived at the north bouy after chasin bunker all the way to the seaside pier. We started playing with blues in the snot just outside the inlet. Boat was idling and i went to move the boat up with the birds she started spitting and sputtering, we were in the heavy chop and the tide was ripping out. Made it to the first green can bouy in the middle of the inlet and that was it. Dropped the hook and thank goodness it caught. TowBoat was out in minutes, It was hairy for sure. 3 hour tow back to Manahawkin bay.

Yeah the boat has a fuel gauge but learned that between 1/4 and empty....means empty.

I had a flow-scan but it became in-operable when I repowered from Ficht to E-Tec. Even the guys at Flo-Scan had no help....said sometimes they work - sometimes they don't. Anyone else with a similar problem with E-Tec & Flo-Scan ?

The beers, freshies, and all fixings sounds like a great idea.

Sean & Jeff :

Any chance you guys could start hauling around Coors Light ?

Sean,

Where do you keep your boat?

I still keep saying I'm going stop into the shop, I need some new bases for the yard.
