I went to the Ocean Fire Co Flea Market today. While I know it's not their fault, outside the police were giving out tickets to everyone illegally parked. Even if you were inches over the line. If you didn't go there, let me tell you there is NO WHERE to park. There were cars ALL over the place for streets on end. There is also a TON of snow still left unplowed and you could NOT tell where the lines ended or even the yellow curbs are. I think the Pt. Pleasant Beach Police department SHOULD OF cut everyone a little slack today and just let people go out and support their Fire Company. I know for certain, I will NOT be back at this one again and yes, I was one of the 'ticketed' soles. BK

I was there at 8:40.
Ended off parking ~4 blocks away to find a clean, full length spot. That spot was closer to jenks then the school.

Stinks if you got a ticket for something trivial / harmless.

Not implying this was your situation, but others got what they deserved. Walking back around 11:00 I noticed several vehicles parked illegal as they jammed in near the school. Including some that would make it very difficult for the home owner to get out of their own driveway. Would have to guess the PD received the phone calls, and they responded to the taxpayers by enforcing the code by the book.

Joe,
Nah, no driveway I wouldn't do that. I was on a corner 2 blocks away hanging over in the yellow a bit. While I was walking to my car, a home owner was shoveling the street area by his house and overheard him say to a car owner that was ticketed (where he was shoveling) that he told the cop the yellow line was covered with snow but the cop gave the ticket anyway. Oh well...
