We fished on Monday 7/21 with Al Critelli, Tom and Anthony Pennimpede . We went back to the chunk and had several bites early on Butterfish and Sardines. We managed to get 2 under bluefin in the 45" range and a 51" over Bluefin. We had a few other bites that came unbuttoned. Our last bite of the morning was a double bite they boated two 60 lb class Yellowfin. At around 11:00 am is shut down quickly we stayed on the chunk thinking they would bite again it never happened. We finished up with 5 fish
We went back the next day 7/22 and set up on the chunk . Things were looking different today not as much bait and never really marked any fish real good. We sat without a bite for 2 1/2 hours. We decided to pull the anchor and look around for something to anchor on. After looking over the high spots without seeing anything we picked up and started running to the Baltimore SW corner we switched over to our trolling gear along the way.We pulled it back in 360 feet or water and started fishing 3 1/2 miles from the edge. We started seeing signs of life there were two tones and a few hammer heads in the area along with sheer waters and chick birds. Our first bite came on a blue and white middle rigger and was a 65lb Yellowfin. We set back up and our next bite came on a NP short rigger which turned out to be a White Marlin which after some jumps was released boatside. We pushed to the canyon and had a nice blow up on the shotgun this turned out to be our biggest Yellowfin a 70 lb fish. After a few more passes we decided to get out the spinning gear and jumped on the lobster gear with a friend in another boat and catch some Mahi. There were hundreds of them there and pulled 14 pretty quickly then decided to leave for home . We finished up with 2 Yellowfin ,1 White Marlin and 14 Mahi (For Rocco)
