We went out today to scout for upcoming trips . We ran to the south a few miles and did not see much . We than decided to run north after about 40 minutes of trolling we saw Bluefin Tuna crashing the surface had one push water right under my pulpit. I marked some bait and circled back and we had our first striper on. I did see the Bluefin crashing 1/8 mile behind us while we were hooked up with the striper. We worked the area and managed 4 more Stripers one over 43" the others were unders. We missed 6 others , being very satisfied with our day we decided to pull em in at 11 am and head home.
The Currituck Dredge was in Oyster creek at the west side entrance Buoy 40 is not there we had to Idle through tight to him . Buoy 38 and 37 have a little more room between them. I spoke to the dredge Capt he said they hope to finish up this weekend then the state should get the Buoy back on station.
Another note is to confirm the dredge pipe is near the cut on the SE entrance I went around for the first time in several years . I didn't want to chance having to backtrack out of the cut. When you go this way you need to favor and stay near the bifurcation buoy . There is a sand bar coming down from the north.

Happy to see the fish today
