Dan and I jumped on to run the Alyson Rose 58 Viking for the new Big Fish Classic Tournament in Ocean City MD. The owner of the boat Tom Tucci , his son Tom Jr , friends John Hamberger his son Jason Hamberger were onboard. We started out in the SW corner of the Baltimore and worked our way to the NE corner on the way we did find some life and the first bite was a 64 lb Yellowfin,Tom Jr boated the fish . We fished a hard color change it was very distinct thought for sure we would get a bite off it. Green on one side deep blue on the other. We worked both sides for miles. We only marked 1 fish a perfect boomerang. No bites here next, we went to a monster weed line also trolled it with out a touch ,so it was back to the whales we pounded this area for hours then finally at 7:30 pm we got our bite nice fish taking line, we cleared all the lines and just as we were getting everything settled and Jason in the chair, a yellowfin airs out and hits a dangling bait in our stbd short rigger . John gets on the rod and does a nice job boating this fish ,getting it out of the way for his son to work on the big fish. Now we go to work on the big fish. This battle goes into the dark, with generator issues we fought this fish without lights , just underwater lights after 2 1/2 hours and alot of activity we boat a 191 lb Big Eye a fish of a lifetime. We clean everything up and get organized and head back . We arrived at the dock at 2 am and all turned in to get a little sleep. The next day we went to the scales and for a short time were on the board. There were some nice fish caught during the Tournament . This turned out to be a great trip with memories that will last a lifetime for all on board.
