We post our reports good and bad
We fished with Shep and Steve last Friday . We decided to stay with Striper Fishing knowing the bite had slowed and we were heading out in a South wind. We cruised in tight up the beach, the water temp was 46 degrees we knew that wasn't going to work we headed off towards the 3 mile line. The temp did creep up to 53 degrees. Started fishing about 7 miles up the line.Long story short we had 1 short pull never had one on and marked 8 fish. I heard from 2 friends that had 1 fish each, Striper fishing has been very slow we decided to check out a few nearby wrecks, Butch on the Cor Sam had some clams on board we tracked him down, made the transfer and went off to a near by wreck. We set up on 2 different wrecks and had a pick of smaller fish and managed a handful of keepers. On the way in we stopped in the inlet and were able to Jig some bluefish in the 6 to 8 lb range. We made the best of a slow fishing day. Due to the weather and fishing we canceled our Sat and Sun trips.

Hope to see things improve after the NE wind mid week.
