Did what I did best this holiday weekend, I stayed away from the crowds in the bay and had my clients signing the blues. Some of these fish are in the 10-12 pound class. It has been several years since I consistently found blues this big in the bay. Both days we landed 20 or more fish with the key factors being water temperature and slime grass. The choppers are feeding best mid-way through the outgoing water with 62 degrees and above when they go on the feed. As far as the slime grass when it pushes throw it can make a spot unfishable within minutes. The blues are spread out through all my fishing areas, including behind the inlet, west side and the flats in between. We did manage to squeak out a few short fluke.
