Fluking really heated up over the past week. Axel Carlson, Barnegat Light Reef, Bathing Beach and Garden State North all were producing some nice fish as of late. Bucktails tipped with 6"Gulp grubs and spearing, peanut bunker and mackerel strips are the hot baits. Inside fluke are still being picked at neart the cut and between the BB and BI Buoy but most action has been outside.

Blowfishing picked up just East of the Research Buoy and near the BI and 42 markers. Guys are putting lot of nice keeper eating size puffers on clams and chumming heavy with clam chum. Double anchor for best results. Kingfish, fluke, snappers, and spot are all mixed in.

Drifting and jigging bubblegum zooms and pink fin-s are catching weakies in the 13-20" range near the BB Buoy in the late evenings. Shedder crab is also working well.

On the scales this week were Phil LaGrossa with a 9.86lb fluke, John Lapsley with a 7.50lb fluke and Scott Erwin with a 8.87lber flattie.
