Broke the inlet around 6:10 am this morning and birds right out the inlet and everywhere. Decided to pass them up and headed north and stopped at more birds. I got around a 10lb blue. Dropped a big kroc down and got another blue that took the bluefish calcutta weighing 14.1 lbs. After that my uncle got a 34" bass. Consistent bluefish action so we decided to head up to Seaside and troll. Got about 15 more blues. Then we got another bass on a black and silver stretch. In front of the boat we saw huge splashes. They were bluefin tuna 1 1/2 mile off the beach! It was great to see those fish jump all the way out of the water. We had 3 Shimano 30w's with us and trolled right on top of them and wouldn't even touch anything. Played with the bluefin for about an hour and picked up the striper troll and got 2 more bluefish and decided to head in around 12:45pm. Medium chop but didn't see anymore schools of stripers or blues. Got to SHBC to weigh our bass and blues. Didn't place with the bass but still got a respectable amount of bass. Great day on the water and glad to be out there.
