Joe, did you try off my dock? I haven't tried for spot yet, but it might be worth giving it a shot off the dock behind the boat. Lots of spot attracting things in the water there.

I've been trying for spot at least once a week to no avail. Where we caught spot last year, I put all the clam shells we had from bait and cookouts down there and that seemed to hold them. Not sure if it was a coincidence or because of that. Hoping for them to come in soon because they are tuna candy!!!

Garbage Fish, good thing my grandfather didn't see it!! He eats just about anything including bluefish and false albacore!! Even tried cooking bunker once!!!! sick

Caught a half dozen spot blowfishing this weekend on the waretown flats. Nice big spot.

Joe, my 4 year old daughters were catching them by the dozens last year. Fish racks are spot magnets, so the clam shells you dropped probably did the same. Hopefully they will show up soon.

I started chumming with frozen bunker almost daily last august, and slammed them every night after work. If they get going, you are welcome on the dock any time.

Thanks JT. Same here. I heard they run in run in 3-4 year cycles so I'm not so sure if we will get them this year.

I have been trying for the past two weeks in the lagoon in BHW. Got my first spot over the weekend. So they should be starting soon. They didn't get hot and heavy until late august last year then caught them good right up to the storm
