The first one is a skillet fish, has a sucker on the bottom? Second I am not sure. Capt Alex has a book, I bet he can find it.

bigal, can you please post a better pic of the second one? Is that spot on the dorsal or is that on the rock? First thought is a mangrove (grey) snapper. We usually get immature ones in the bay this time of year (black stripe through eye, blueish one across the nose)

Yes that is a spot on his fin if you zoom in you can see it a lot clearer. Not a snapper already have one in the tank completely different

Haha....it's the infamous (and elusive) BB Rock Fish!!!

Still working on trying to get a better shot. I have two in the tank and it's tough to get a good shot.

This is the most attention that fish has or will get in it's life!!!
