BFT rig tip

Description
Found that when the BFT are picky and not hitting wwwwb Shutes and ballyhoo a switch to a RonZ or Hogy tail generally gets bit. Nearly all the BFT I’ve caught inshore have sandeels in them and I feel the eel profile ends up getting more strikes. Also it swims with more action, is reusable and will never washes out like bally. When you put the RonZ on the hook you need to secure them - I use either quick glue or a zip tie. If the tails get ripped you can fix it with a lighter and melt them back together. I’ve been doing well this season with the 5oz silver head crystal Shute with a 10” pink RonZ and 8oz blue and white Shute with 10” white RonZ. Fish them wwwwb off your far outside riggers. Also have had luck trolling the 10” Ronz jigs off the stern clips as you would a cedar plug. Good luck.

Thanks for the info, I've heard some talk about running these combos. Getting your use of them helps with how your rigging them and size and colors. We'll have a couple rigged up and ready to deploy before our next trip. Are they available at any of our local shops ?

Thanks Ed. I was wondering how you rigged them.

Great "out of the box" approach.
