Sounds like a nice day of fishing, Congrats.

What did the tag look like and what were the numbers and did you take any pictures of the tag/tag area before removing? just wondering.

The tag seems to be very old, the color is now white but appears to have been red or pink. One side says "If undersized cut the tag off and release the fish"
The other side has had most of the information worn off.
The word "reward" is visible but all the other information has worn off.
This bass was 38 inches at 18 pounds.
We are very interested in following through with the tag program, is there anything you suggest we do? There is a partial number on the tag with four out of six digits legible.

Thanks, after taking my information over the phone, they are mailing me a self addressed envelope to mail the tag back to them for review because the tag was in bad shape.
If they can manage to use some of the visibly readable numbers, they will send a certificate with all the information on where the fish was tagged and release plus a cap...
I will post the information if its anything interesting...

Good catch Mark!! Did you send some down to my mother-in law for dinner?
I see you have updated your info on your boat..how is tne new engine?
I finally put my boat in this past weekend. Looking to get out soon before this bite dies. Any suggestions where to go?

Hey John, thanks! This was an exceptional experience considering they were caught on lighter tackle. It was something I will remember especially seeing three and four same size bass swimming along side them before they were netted.
Yes I sent some down the street and yes the motor is running awesome. I'm having a great spring so far....

Was going to go tomorrow, but can't. I am looking to go next Friday, probably mid to late morning, I have to wait for a friend of mine to get home from business trip. I know it is Memorial Day weekend, but that is the earliest I can get out. Let me know, I might have an opening if you want to go. And if you are already going that day, I will give you a shout.
Weather looks good for the whole week, so I hope it lasts until Friday.
So how many have you boated this year? What has been your bait of choice? are you jigging? trolling? Friend of mine has been out a handful of times, no consistent catch though. He has been running north for the most part.

Let me know.
