Looks like a great time. Haven't been there in ten years, but looks like the striper fishing has not changed. Is chunking with wire while anchored still the preferred method?

What was the make of the boat? The beam looks really wide for a 38ft.I was looking into buying a 36ft runaway boat almost the same set up but the beam is only 12.6. Runaway boats were custom made boats, here in N.J.that have recently have gone out of business. I can get the last hull they manufactured, and finish it myself.Current owner was 90% complete but did not have the money to finish her. Anyway looks like you had one heck of a day.Beautiful catch!!!

Walter its an Osmond Beal, they were originally built as work boats so they typically have a wider beam that stays wider all the way to the transom for more stability and deck space.

Several generations of boat builders...Willis, Osmond, Calvin, Calvin Jr, Wayne, Isaac, Clinton, Riley, Crowley and a few others. Osmond I believe is the oldest still alive and building boats and Calvin Jr. is the youngest of the current generation.

They are awesome boats. We fish on a 38' Evans that is very similar and it's a great boat to fish on.
