That's a great photo. That should find it's way into a frame somewhere in the house for sure.

I wish you were to Dave! Garret canceled last minute and I'm still sore from fighting fish.

Sounds good Ken.

Brian, it was on the wall when I got home yesterday.

Guys - I know its a tough question but what would you estimate the weight of the fish to be? He was 8'-7" long, I was thinking 125 pounds at the most, but maybe I'll totally off. Thanks for the imput!!! - Rich

....I did measure him on the dock and it was from his nose to the end of the top of the tail. If alive, he was shorter, probably more like 8'-1" or 2".

The way fish and game measures sharks, tuna, and sordfish is from the tip of the nose to the FORK OF THE TAIL, any other way a threser would be double its size. As a point of referance, my last shark was gutted and weighed in at Lacey Marine at 151 lbs. Measured before hanging, which does streach the fish, was 78". The guy who weighted it said he weighed a 205lbs that was smaller, guts in. He guessed 210 to 220. I mentioned the three slammer bluefish in its belly and he said to add the weight. I do not care 151lbs gutted, and 78" before hanging is fine with me.
