Description
Sorry for the late report, I was on vacation last week and did not have internet.

Fished with OutdrDave on Sunday and had nonstop action on the east side of the bay. Clam and squid worked equally well. The bite was so hot we switched to small pieces of Gulp! blood worm and we had great action on that.

Sean use surgical gloves next time. Believe it or not they will hold up pretty well to blowfish.

Blowfish tongs work the best, just cut from the head down through the backbone to the belly meat behind just behind the ears, bend and squeeze the body until the meat peeks out, grab the head with a gloved hand, grab the meat with the tongs and pull in both directions, flip the meat into a cooler with ice and the junk in a bucket. I was timed, 47 blowfish in 20 minutes and no puffy hands.

Although I was not timed cutting the meat from the backbone, as I was drinking beer at that time. Ken

I agree with Ken, High Risk II, use the glove and tongs. I use a fish cleaning glove made special for the task. I noticed that my left index finger was burning and I realized I had wore a small hole in the tip of the finger. I still have a mark on my fingertip! I can only imagine how bad your hands ended up. By the way, the beer does help! Great catch. The blowfishing has been phenomenal lately! Enjoy!!

I used the grippers that Brian sells on garbagefish.com. They work great. I could not find them and started to fillet by hand. After about 10 I ripped the house apart and found them. Made life much easier, but the damage was done.

Wow, what a day! A fish cleaning glove for my non-cutting hand and pliers help keep my hands from getting totally mauled.
