Broke through BI at 8am with my son Brendan. Cut through a good head sea on my southerly route to Garden State North. My Albemarle 29XF handled the swell nicely at 23 kts. Worked the Northeast corner of the reef. Put a 20" and a 19" in the box on the first drift. Then dead sticked a 22" on a live mullet. Picked up a bunch of shorts and a few sea bass as well. Flew home in a following sea. Total of four fluke and 2 sea bass. I'm calling that a good day.....this year.
