New years day trip

Great trip today. We all thought the weather was going to put a beating on us today, but we were wrong.

Left the dock at 7 30 and we were fishing an hour later in 70 feet of water. We put 7 keepers and a bunch of shorts in the boat before we made a move.

We decided to head farther offshore when the winds dropped out and it was the right move. Countless shorts and another 17 keepers to 12 pounds kept us busy until we were ready to leave. A late start, early return, and a boat limit of 24 fish. Great way to start the year. Pictures to follow tomorrow.

Great trip and a great way to start off the new year, togging is both challenging and addicting, looking forward to improving my touch on future trips.Captain and crew are the best only thing missing was Sam, get well soon , the trip just isn't the same when you are not onboard.
