10/21 Report - 10/21/07 07:48 PM
The bay and ocean temperatures are still holding steady in the mid 60’s and the bait continues to be thick both in the bay and ocean. Even with the temperatures holding steady the bass are moving into the bay along with some very nice sized weakfish. Today's party enjoyed some quality Barnegat Bay weakfishing after boating two keeper bass. They boxed over a dozen keeper weaks from 3 to 7 pounds which fell to both live spots and BKDs. I can not remember the last time we caught this many quality weaks in one outing.

Capt. Alex,
Thank you for the report! Sorry for my ignorance but what are BKDs?

Bass Kandy Delights- a soft plastic similar to a sluggo.

I'm assuming you use a jig head hook?
