No Fred we don't stock the soron but we should be able to order it for you from Abu. Talk to me or Tommy when you are ready to order, I'm pretty sure we can save you a few $$$...John

Looks like the old Stella reels. There is a $20 rebate on Abu reels.

We may get a few on our stock order but that won't be til April. Personally, I'm looking for a saltwater baitcaster for the bay and may order myself the Abu Revo. Any of you guys use this reel???...John

I have one- I use it for freshwater. It's OK for the money, but they used to be better. When Abu first launched the series, they were called T3000C's. I have a pair of those and they have been trouble free for many years. My new Revo doesn't cast as well, and it's had some "phantom" binding issues on the retrieve from time to time. I hope I just got a lemon.

Thanks 242. I'm definitely open to other brands. This is the model and price range for the REVO. This reel will be used primarily for tossing small lures to weakfish and blues. Any other opinions on low-profile, Saltwater rated baitcasters from other manufactures is appreciated...John

Sorry about hijacking your thread Fred, I will ask Tom today about our stock order...John

np John spring around the corner we all looking for maybe a new toy. Just thinking the Soron maybe a hot item this year. I would print out a bunch of the rebate forms and have the reel on display with the form.

Do like the big retailers do show show the price AFter rebate.

I just dont know anyone useing these sorons and like imput on the drag ect .. but seems like a good reel has 11 good ball berings and brass gears for 109.00 AFTER rebate

Well maybe ill be the one here who gives a review on um one day
