Fishing Report 8/27/16 - 08/27/16 02:00 PM

Fluke are slamming bucktails tipped with gulp, spearing and peanut bunker at Garden State North. The Tires and Bathing Beach are also holding some nice fish. Inside drifting along the cut and inlet are producing some keepers as the fluke are moving out of the Bay. Jigging "Lacey Marine Tapdancer Rig" are working great on the flatties paired up with a S&S Bucktail in pearl or chartreuse/pearl. Matthew Liedtka weighed in his personal best 6.80lb fluke caught at Garden State North on Saturday.

Blowfishing is still good East of the Research Buoy. Chumming heavy with clam chum and salted clams, squid and fishbites have been the hot baits. Kingsfish, fluke, snappers, and seabass are mixed in as well. Lot's of fun for the kids!

Snappers are all over the Bay and lagoons and smacking spearing on snapper poppers and small metals. Crabbing picked up after the full moon and is better on the West side of the Bay. Weakfish are hitting pink Fin-s and Bubblegum Zooms drifting between the BB and BI Buoys but the bigger fish are eating peanuts.
