SHBC Winter Workshop

SHBC Winter Workshop - 01/24/09 10:38 PM

Joe from Sun Harbor and I were talking the other day and again today about putting together a workshop. The workshop would be part presentation, part instruction and part hands on. It would include: rigging both inshore and offshore, knots, connections and their applications, sinker and jig molding, painting and dressing jigs and tying teasers. We would like to get an idea of how many would like to attend and also what you would like to get out of it. Based on feedback we can tailor the workshop around the most popular topics. We were thinking the end of February beginning of March for the date.

I'd be interested. The things you mentioned sound good. Maybe some trolling tips/rigging would be good too.

A thought... Invite the heads of the Southern Regional & Barnegat HS Fishing Clubs and or their Club Memebers. They are the future Fisherman in Ocean County.

Re: SHBC Winter Workshop - 02/05/09 07:18 PM

If we have the Workshop...it would be limited to a certain number, approximately 20 maximum. This way there can be hands on by the participants in tying, rigging, etc. Also lends a better forum for questions to be answered in detail. I see that alot of times at large seminars, there is no question and answer session, which is understandable given that the crowds are in the hundreds.
