had a customer's rig almost sink-cause was something hard to believe,cockpit scuppers were clogged with crap...auot bilge switch decided it didn't want to work any more,but the actual cause was the scuppers not draining the water on the deck,hard to believe huh idea?
listen,some of you guys,your boats,the scuppers are under water-why a boat mfg allows this is beyond me...but...remember,if the scupper is below the water line,common sense tells us,at some point water will flow backwards,yes idea be careful of this...be sure and check your bilge pumps regularly,lift up on the float switch,make sure the pump operates...
