What ever happened to pots off the reef, and reestablishing funding to build reefs? A google search shows nothing for years?

The commissioner of the DEP was supposed to have something in the form of a compromise that would be a regulation that would go through the NJ Marine Fisheries Council and be ready for public comment and then off to the Governor back in March...haven't seen anything completed yet.

Not sure where you read that. There was talk of a compromise that the potters would get 15-21% of the Axel and Sand Hook Reefs and a new reef of equal or greater size of what was divided for potting would be created as a new recreational reef. This was supposed to be finalized in the early spring and go to public comment but as we know how the speed of government is we have seen nothing yet.
