Holy smokes..I've caught hundreds of sheepsheads in Florida, none compare to that beast.

I assume sheepshead are good table fare? Never had caught one, how was the fight? Looks like a brawler...

John sheepsheads are fantastic fish. Eat great and fight like h*ll, will try and wrap you around structure. Need a good bubba blade to run against the bones and be sure you conk them on the head before fileting, those spikes will nick you up good if they twitch. My eating preference on Florida dock fish are Redfish, snook, sheepshead, mangrove snapper, black drum, seatrout.

It fought good took a bunch of short fast bursts of drag. Definitely knew it wasn’t a blackfish since the big blackfish seem to take those steady longer runs back to the bottom if you let them. It tasted great very similar to porgy..firm white and mild

I remember seeing little sheeps hanging around under my outdrive when I had my 21 Dixie. Didn't think they grew so big!
