I try, and that is definitly a model I don't have. Will have to stop down this weekend.

Have also started collecting antique rods to decorate the basement.

Jeff, Tommy didn't decide to run the special til after you and Larry left. The Lami is a 9ft conventional rod that we purchased at a show in Conn. from the factory...If you come back down this weekend I will only be there Sat. morning from 5-9AM. Been working 12 hour shifts and I need some fishing time this weekend... John

We have already blown out over a dozen of the Tica rods and only have about 4 left. Call first for availability. We also still have 3 of the Lamiglas specials, so hurry to get your rods now!!! We are also now blowing out remaining stock of Tica Taurus reels, TP 5000 & TP 6000, at $145 while they last!!!

Jey Jersey Joe, you ever see metal rods? I have a couple that my grandfather bought new in the early 40's. they are basically square stock with eyes welded on....definitely unique

RR-still have any of those Lami's in stock? I may be able to stop by tomorrow.

PP-I have not. Sounds strange, not sure how they would really flex, square stock I would imagine would just creace and not bend like tubular stock.

JJ, I have to get them out of the garage and look at them again. They do bend so they must be tapered somehow. I remember hearing the story about how big a deal it was when they bought them brand new. This was a major purchase for them at that time. they passed on the fishing bug to me!

My first fishing rod was a metal stock rod. It was a pentagon shape. It was very unique in that the reel was built right into the pistol grip handle with a push button brake!!!

Name brand I think was "Herd". (Not sure of spelling.)
I caught a lot of largemouth. pickerell and pike with that rod.

And to think Cape Fear was a visionary with the shape of their blanks.
