I have had many instances over the past couple of weeks when boaters thought they had "Sea Tow" when in fact they did not and I want to explain a couple of things to clarify any misinformation that is out there.

Having a towing rider on your hull insurance for say $50 a year for $1000 of towing IS NOT SEA TOW shocked. I have had a few just in the past couple days say "I have Sea Tow with my insurance". No you do not. You have an insurance company that is selling towing insurance when in fact they have no boats to tow with. So if you breakdown, ground yourself, etc., and have towing on your insurance, it does not mean that you have Sea Tow nor does it mean that Sea Tow will come and service you. That's right, if you are not a member of Sea Tow with a valid Sea Tow membership card, you may not get serviced. Sea Tow is a membership based business that prides itself on giving it's members PRIORITY service. Members will ALWAYS come first. If we have one of our 5 boats available we will service the occassional non-member. But again, after the members have all been taken care of.
What you also get with your membership is a host of other benefits such as the Advantage Network http://seatow.com/deals/advantage_network.asp and being able to receive Insurance thru Sea Insure www.seainsure.com as well as the peace of mind that if the time comes and you need help on the water, need to know where the closest ramp is, restuarants, fishing spots etc., YOU WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF. I am posting this because we want you to have the most enjoyable time on the water as possible and if the event arrives that you have a problem, knowing that a proffessional is coming to help you is priceless in my opinion. If you have any questions about what Sea Tow offers it's members please feel free to call, e-mail, stop by or respond here and we will be pleased to explain what we can do for you. Hope this helps. Be safe.

How does the sea tow registration and/or membership work? Work in regards to where and who do you contact for membership. We live in South Jersey (Shamong, trailer to Waretown.

You can always call our office. Any questions can be answered and we can certainly take your info. for the membership. As far as the reef fund, you MUST use our office (phone, e-mail, walk-in) in order to have the $10 go to the reef fund. That reminds me, I have a check for Larry.

I will and Thanks.

We launch out of the BBCA ramp - I believe I pass your dock each time we head out.

Snapped a belt yesterday while movin a decent pace, overheated immediately and steering became "difficult". Hearing that bang against the decking followed by an overheat and no steering convinced me, im signin up smile Just glad i had a spare belt and a "BS" tool set on board, dont want to chance it in the future
