Description
Got these by the sod banks while working some blues today. Wouldn't hit anything else except a 1/4 ounce Hopkins! Lots of fun on light tackle.

Nice! Were you fishing the sod banks right by the lighthouse, or were you a little farther back by the islands in Oyster Creek Channel? How deep?

I've tried casting up the channels that flow through the sedge islands (along OCC) a couple times. They look like they should hold fish, but I've never had much luck. What I was doing wasn't working too well, but it looks like you've figured out a winning formula. Any tips you can share would be greatly appreciated.

We were over at the OCC sods. I was in about 14 feet of water but it rose up very quickly at the bar to about 3 feet. The smallest metals work best like 1/4oz to 1oz. Cast onto the bar and work it slow. A guy next to us said he had a big one on but it bit his line so it was a mix. hey were also moving very quickly. Hope this helps!
