My dad, Scott posted a report earlier. Quick recap: went to 100 square friday night, chunked till first light then trolled till 11 am without a touch. Moved inshore to Bacardi to bend rods, worked it for an hour and took off for home. Was running 30 knots when it got a little snotty so with crew sleeping decided to slow down to 18 knots to smooth out the ride. This returned horrible fuel mileage so we decided to slow to a (very) high speed troll and set a couple lines out for wahoo or anything else that could keep up and slow down if we marked well. Got the first rod out and less than a minute later we were hooked up. We figured the wahoo weighed about 45 lbs. Only the second we have ever caught, first for the newbie on the rod. Gave it 2 more hours with no action and ran in hard since it calmed back down. Heard it was really snotty out there a couple hours after we left. Good timing I guess. Can't wait for the next trip!
