Description
Arrived at the "x" on my GPS in the vicinity of the research buoy around 9:00 am. I baited my buddies 1/2 oz Spro bucktail with a 4" Gulp! swimming mullet, and before I could get myself baited up it was fish on. After missing the fish with the net three time, we finally had a 19" fish in the boat.

Continued on the same drift and I hooked up with an 18" fish on a 3" Gulp! white shrimp. Shortly after we were boarded by the Coast Guard. Guys were nice and after checking our safety gear they were on there way. From what they were hearing most people were only getting shorts, so we felt fortunate to have two. Right after they left, I immediately hooked up with a nice fish, that spit the hook. Within 30 seconds my buddy is hooked up and we land a 21" fish. Not sure if we hit a school or it was the same fish.

Once the tide went slack the fishing tide. Waited out the tide change but it was only shorts and one perfect sized eating blue. All the keeper fluke came in 12 feet of water.

That's a nice day, putting friends on fish is always a great feeling.

For what it's worth a friend of mine before he passed away was sushi chef and told me never eat fresh raw fish ( bacteria ) always freeze first to kill the bacteria . When you cook fresh fish you are already killing it .
