Broke BI at 6am with Doug aboard and headed north up to Lavallette where we deployed 2 #4 Maja spoons and 2 Maja mojos to start our troll. We trolled for many hours when finally the green spoon starts singing and Doug lands a nice 31 lb bass. Back on the troll we worked an area hard and Doug was rewarded with a nice fat 45" fish that inhaled the white mojo.Good trip and looking forward to the next one as soon as the wind lets up.

Nice Griff! You won the day with 2 fish! We managed 1 44 in. with a huge head. The best action, if you want to call it that, was at the 3 off Seaside Park. The best concentration of bait! White Maja spoon!

First multiple I’ve heard of ..That’s a good start to the fall. I gave it a whirl early off south island beach and eventually made my way up to the pipe area but no bass love. In hindsight I should have started the morning where I ended. Jumped on a wreck to catch a couple toggys just to restore my sanity. Nice work
